"Simon, Gary, and Anne had all told him that the Shaman’s Highway was haunted, and he had mostly dismissed their claims as superstition. No wonder Simon’s instructions had been so general. The ghost hunter had assumed that any filmmaker worth his salt would be capable of capturing something supernatural during an eleven-mile walk down this road. 
This was a realization that stung. He briefly removed his backpack and checked his equipment. His camcorder was still intact and appeared to be undamaged. But he had captured neither the red eyes in the woods, nor the demonic little girl...."
